The Blue Pages, Inc. publishes a specialized directory of Minnesota lawyers practicing criminal defense, DWI and DUI defense, and traffic violations — for the entire state, every county.

It exists for a specific moment. Minnesota law gives a person who has been arrested a limited right to consult an attorney before deciding whether to take a breath, blood or urine test. That right is only useful if there is a way to find a lawyer at that moment, from that room, at that hour. The printed Blue Pages has sat beside the phone in Minnesota jails and police departments since 1997 so that the right to counsel means something in practice — and so that law enforcement can honor it without delay.

This site is the same directory, published for the other person in the story: the spouse, parent or friend who is searching on a phone while the arrest is happening. Every listing in the book is here, by county, with the jail, court and sheriff numbers for that county on the same page.
