Carlos Police Department (merged / disbanded)

This changed. The City of Carlos's own official website (cityofcarlos.com) lists its departments as Animal Services, Fire, Parks & Recreation, Gas & Electric, Sanitation/Recycling, and Water - there is no Police Department listed, and the site's Contact Us form has no police option. A dedicated police-department page (cityofcarlos.com/police-department) returns a 404. The only phone number aggregators associate with 'Carlos Police Department' (320-852-3000) is in fact the general Carlos City Hall / Clerk-Treasurer line, per cityofcarlos.com's own Contact/City Hall pages - not a separate police line. Note: the Douglas County Sheriff's own official page still says it 'assists ... the Carlos Police Department,' which may be outdated boilerplate rather than reflecting an operating separate department. On balance, coverage today appears to be provided by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office (320-762-8151), and Carlos does not appear to run its own standalone department any longer.
