Madelia Police Department (merged / disbanded)

This changed. Madelia no longer has its own police department. Per the City of Madelia's own official website, as of January 1, 2026 the city contracted with the Watonwan County Sheriff's Office to provide patrol, emergency response, investigative services, ordinance enforcement, and animal control within city limits.
