Pike Bay Police Department (merged / disbanded)

This changed. Pike Bay Township's police department (active since 2002) had its chief resign effective end of 2020, and township residents voted at their annual meeting on the fate of the department (Lakeland PBS reporting). 'Pike Bay Police Dept.' does not appear on the Minnesota POST Board's current (2026) roster of licensed agencies -- unlike still-active tiny departments such as Pillager, Motley, and Lake Shore, which do appear -- corroborating disbandment. The township is now covered by general Cass County Sheriff's Office patrol, 218-547-1424; no dedicated township public-safety phone/address was found after a genuine search.
