Trimont Police Department (merged / disbanded)

This changed. The City of Trimont's own official site still has a 'Police Department' page (under Emergency Services), but it names no chief or officer, gives no dedicated police phone number, and instructs residents to reach the 'Martin County Sheriff for non-emergencies by phone through Martin County Dispatch at 507-238-4481.' The city's official 'Frequently Called Numbers' page likewise lists no separate police line -- only the general city hall number, (507) 639-2060. This is strong evidence the town no longer maintains an independently staffed department and the area is now effectively covered under Martin County Sheriff's Office contract/dispatch coverage (Sheriff Jeff Markquart, 507-238-3166, 201 Lake Avenue, Fairmont, MN 56031). Could not find a news source with an explicit disbanding date, so this is inferred from the absence of any current staffing/contact info on the city's own site rather than a confirmed announcement.
