Truman Police Department (merged / disbanded)

This changed. The City of Truman's official site has a 'Police Department' nav page with only generic boilerplate mission text, no named chief/officer, and no dedicated phone -- it directs residents to the Martin County Sheriff at 507-238-4481 for non-emergencies. More tellingly, the city's own official 'City Directory' page, which lists every other department with named staff and direct numbers (City Clerk Melissa Sirovy, Fire Chief Brandon Mosloski, Ambulance Squad lead Josh Kitzerow, Street Dept. Superintendent, Librarian, Planning & Zoning, Building Inspection), includes NO entry at all for police. This strongly indicates Truman no longer maintains an independently staffed department; the area appears covered by the Martin County Sheriff's Office (Sheriff Jeff Markquart, 507-238-3166, 201 Lake Avenue, Fairmont, MN 56031). Could not find a news source with an explicit disbanding date.
