Walnut Grove Police Department (merged / disbanded)

This changed. The City of Walnut Grove's own official website states: 'Walnut Grove does not currently have a police officer. If you are needing law enforcement assistance please contact the Redwood County Sheriffs Office... If it is a non-emergency contact needed please call 507-637-4036.' The same page still lists a legacy 'Walnut Grove Police Department' mailing address (311 6th Street, Walnut Grove, MN 56180) and phone/fax (507-859-2327 / 507-859-2202), but per the city's own statement there is no officer staffing it — coverage is effectively by the Redwood County Sheriff's Office contract patrol.
